The Regiment has been in existence for 6 years and 9 months. Men who have been trained in it and passed through have fought and died in every battlefield in which the British Forces have been engaged. As a unit of 15th Scottish Division the Regiment itself took part in every single action of the Divisions from Normandy to the Baltic and in many other actions in support of other formations. It has been a really great Regiment in every sense of that word and it dies as it always lived - challenging and proudly.
