Additional Information: Thomas Melhuish was one of four members of Major Campbell's crew who were killed when the house in which they were sheltering received a direct hit from a heavy shell. Major Campbell, later to become Lord Campbell of Croy is quoted in his obituary (Telegraph 28/04/2005) "All four were killed, and I picked myself up from the rubble."
